The famous Blue Lagoon is closed due to the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula. I’ve booked the equally stunning Sky Lagoon. It’s conveniently located closer to the city. I’ll be diving into the Seven-Step Ritual. It includes a 10-12°C plunge pool. Don’t be surprised if you hear a scream! It’s a small price to pay for the promise of Iceland’s pristine beauty and a refreshing start to the year.
Alfa Championship Weekends: A Symphony of Speed and Camaraderie
If there’s one thing that matches my love for travel, it’s the thrill of motorsports. Throughout the year, I’ll be dedicating four weekends to the adrenaline-pumping world of the Alfa Romeo Championship. Croft, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Oulton Park are the chosen circuits. I’m gearing up for the high-octane rush of the trackside experience. There’s something uniquely exhilarating about the roar of engines. The smell of burning rubber adds to the excitement. The palpable energy among racing enthusiasts is contagious.
And in case you’re wondering, I’ve even gotten behind the wheel myself! Earlier this year, I had the opportunity. I drove one of the Alfa Romeo Championship cars on the Donington National Circuit. I’m not sure Driving Miss Daisy would quite cut it among these speedsters. Buckle up, it’s going to be an adrenaline-fueled ride!
June Extravaganza: Manchester’s Musical Magic and the Austrian Grand Prix
June is set to be one of the most exciting months of the year, filled with back-to-back adventures. It kicks off with a pilgrimage to Manchester, where I’ll finally see The Killers live in concert. After years of missing out on live shows, I’m ready for an unforgettable night of music and energy. They always deliver a performance that stays with you long after the last note has been played. I can’t wait to experience it.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. The next week, I’ll be boarding a plane for Austria. I will attend the iconic Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. There’s nothing like the rush of Formula 1 racing. This year, I’ll be right in the thick of it. I will be soaking in the atmosphere of roaring engines and buzzing crowds. I’ll be using planes, trains, and buses. I’ll journey through the picturesque landscapes of Austria before landing in Graz. Eventually, I will arrive in Vienna. After the Grand Prix thrills, I’ll be slowing things down with some well-deserved exploration of Vienna’s cultural gems. This will be an ideal way to balance the fast-paced excitement with serene discovery.
Dubai Delights: A Culinary Odyssey in the City of Gold
After a quick recharge at home, I’ll be jetting off to the dazzling city of Dubai in late July. Dubai is a city that never ceases to amaze, with its glittering skyline, luxury shopping, and endless adventures. But for me, this trip is all about the food. Dubai’s culinary scene is renowned for its diversity and innovation. I’m ready to dive into a gastronomic adventure like no other.
