Growing up Fifteens always graced the tables of any family gatherings or bake sales. Easy to make with no baking required, they are the perfect accompaniment for a cup of tea and good book.
Fifteens are a quick no-bake treat is perfect for a Sunday evening treat. These sweet treats hail from Northern Ireland and require very little preparation, but at least 4-6 hours to chill. Minimal ingredients, but packed full of sweetness.
- 15 digestive biscuits
- 15 marshmallows
- 15 glacé cherries
- 200ml condensed milk
- 100g Desiccated coconut for decoration (optional)
1 – Get your 15 digestive biscuits, place in a bag and crush (very therap
2 – Chop the marshmallows into 4 pieces the glacé cherries in half and place in the bowl.
3 – Pour in 175ml of the condensed milk and start to combine the mixture (if the mixture is a little dry add some more milk).
4 – Layout a piece of cling film, dust with the coconut (optional). Place the mixture on the film and mould into a sausage shape. Place in the fridge for 4 – 6 hours.
5 – Once chilled cut into 15 pieces, serve and enjoy.
